Chapter 12
Thrax and Ozzy got into the tub, which wasn't nearly hot enough. The virus slipped his killing claw into the water, bringing up the temperature. Despite having claws, Ozzy was a lot more sensitive to heat than Thrax was. "Do not turn me into soup," Ozzy growled.
Thrax grinned, wrapping an arm around Ozzy's waist. "If you're soup, does that mean I get to eat you, baby?"
"Ugh!" Ozzy groaned. "I swear, you only have two things on your mind. Sex and," Ozzy was about to say getting into the medical books, but realized Thrax would never get into them because of him. Ozzy realized it was probably best not to bring it up. "And killing p
Chapter 10
Thrax's body pretty much filled the door frame, so Ozzy couldn't tell who was on the other side. However, the cell could tell that whoever it was made Thrax angry because his killer claw was burning a bright orange. "Get the fuck out of my face."
"Aw, come on Thrax. You never buy any," said a voice that sounded like it came from a girl.
Ozzy could see Thrax's muscles tensing up under his turtleneck. "And that ain't changin' today. Now, get the hell out of here! I'm busy!"
"You always say that just to get rid of us," said a second voice.
"Cause you're vermin, baby. If Louie Bigs wasn't your old man, I would've killed y'all a lo
Chapter 9
Ozzy got up when he heard a knock at the door. "Thank Frank, I'm starving!" He grabbed some of the money off the nightstand. "Still damp." He shrugged. "Whatever." He opened the door, paid the man, and came back in with the pizza. "Smells so good!"
Thrax rolled his eyes. "You're ridiculous, baby."
"Well you're fucking crazy," Ozzy countered. He set the box down on the table, and sat on the couch next to Thrax. They turned on the TV, this time staying away from the news. Thrax ate one slice, while Ozzy ate three much to the virus's surprise.
"Where the hell is that all going, Jones?"
Ozzy looked down at himself. "Dunno. You're t
Chapter 8
Once they reached their floor, Ozzy grabbed Thrax's hand and forced the virus to run the rest of the way to their room. Once they reached the door, Thrax fumbled to get the keys out of his pocket. "Open it!" Ozzy shouted, losing his patience. "Open it! Open it! Open it! Open-"
"Alright, baby, damn!" Thrax slid the key in the lock, and opened the door. Ozzy ran inside. He grabbed a towel out of the bathroom, and laid it down on the floor of the closet. "What're you doin', Jones?"
Ozzy slid off his hoodie and hung it on one of the hangers. "Clothes are gonna drip while they're drying. If lots of water pools on our floor, it will si
Chapter 7
Sure enough, there was in fact a burger place in the boarded up building next door. Ozzy shook his head. "How many of these are there?"
"They got places like these all over, baby." Thrax smirked. "Didn't you have any boarded up buildings in Frank?"
Ozzy stopped, realization hitting him hard. "Son of a bitch, that's what those were?!" Thrax laughed at the shock and disgust on Ozzy's face. "Oh that's going to drive me insane! I can't even tell anyone!"
Thrax grabbed Ozzy, and brought him close. "Oh, does someone miss arresting people?" He teased.
Ozzy glared. "Don't talk to me like that, unless you don't want me to kiss you ever
Chapter 6
Thrax ran out of the building to see Ozzy storming away. "Jones!" He called out. The cell ignored him. He ran up to Ozzy and grabbed his arm. "Jones listen to me!"
Ozzy ripped his arm out of Thrax's grasp. "Don't touch me! Don't you dare touch me! Just leave me alone!"
Thrax could feel the frustration bubbling up inside him. "Just listen! I lo-"
"Don't you dare say that!" Ozzy shouted. "That's not what this is! This isn't love! This is just some weird thing you think you feel!"
"No it's not, Jones!" Thrax shouted back. Germs in the alleys near them began evacuating; they all knew that innocent bystanders tended to die in virus
Thrax looked at the clock for the umpteenth time, wondering where Ozzy was. It was passed ten, and the cell hadn't come back from work yet. He was about to put on his trench coat and go looking for him, when he heard a key being put into the lock. Ozzy came walking in, looking utterly exhausted.
"Where ya been, baby?" Thrax asked as Jones collapsed on the couch next to him.
"Some crazy spit happened at work and I had to do overtime." He rested up against the warm virus.
"Want dinner?" Thrax questioned, while wrapping an arm around the cell.
"Nah, I just wanna lie here. I'm beat."
Thrax put down his book, and moved so that he was also lyi
Thrax was surprised when he heard the doorbell ring. "Who the hell ever visits us?"
"I used to get visitors all the time before you moved in." Ozzy replied. Thrax glared in return. Ozzy opened the door, but was not prepared for who was standing there. "Mr. Roja?!" Thrax's head shot up at the mention of his dad.
"Hello, Ozzy." The senior virus smiled. "How's police work been?"
"Fine," was all Ozzy could think to say as he stepped out of the way to let him in.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Thrax asked, stomping over to his old man.
"Good to see you too, son." Thrax tried to punch him, but Mr. Roja easily caught his fist and put him
